Andre Dowell

Andre Dowell is currently working on his MM in Percussion Performance from the University of Michigan.  He marched on the snare line for 2 years at the University of Michigan, where he received his BM in Percussion Performance.  Andre has performed as a marimba soloist in several schools, churches, radio, and has appeared with the Sphinx Symphony on television.  He has performed with several orchestras, musical theatre companies, and has also appeared on Broadway.  He has also been involved with recording several CDs.  Andre has been teaching privately for several years in every area of percussion.  He has taught high school band camps in the states of Michigan and Tennessee, and currently teaches for Chelsea High School and Sphinx Prep Institute.  He has studied privately with Brian Jones, Ian Ding, Michael Udow, Michael Gould, and Keith Aleo.
